Mary Patterson

APRN, CNM

Mary Patterson, APRN, CNM is a certified nurse midwife/woman's health nurse practitioner. Mary is a graduate from the Orvis School of Nursing at the University of Nevada Reno in 1985. Mary worked locally for St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Labor and Delivery as a registered nurse. In 1992, she left Reno to pursue her master’s degree at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Mary received her Master's in Nursing and became certified by the American College of Nurse-Midwives in April 1994. She practiced full scope midwifery care until 1999 when she stopped attending births and began working in a private OB/GYN practice in Reno. In 2004 she was awarded the Northern Nevada Nurse of Achievement Award for Advanced Practice Nursing. As a nurse midwife, Mary cares for women teen through menopause guiding them with all of their gynecological needs in a holistic compassionate manner. She is an expert in managing contraception, infertility, bio-identical hormones, sexual health, MonaLisa Touch Laser, and Well Woman care. Mary's career has been devoted to the empowerment of women and their health throughout their life span. Mary has two grown children and is recently a first time grandmother to a sweet baby boy!

Karen Wood

BSN, RNC, APRN

Karen Wood, BSN, RNC, APRN, Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Minnesota State University, Mankato in 1977. She moved to Reno in 1984 and has been working in women's health care since 1985. She completed her Nurse Practitioner training in 1991 at Planned Parenthood of Minnesota in conjunction with the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Elizabeth Hutson
MD, FACOG, FPMRS, MIS

Dr. Elizabeth Hutson is a board certified OBGYN and Urogynecologist (FPMRS) in private practice at My Women's Center, focusing on complex gynecologic problems, pelvic floor issues, and urinary incontinence. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Nevada - Reno and participates in the Family Practice Residency training program. She graduated with Honors and is Alpha Omega Alpha from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, did her residency training at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, and has been in private practice since 1997. She stopped doing Obstetrics in 2001 to focus on gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) and now largely sees consults and does surgery in these areas of expertise.

Hanna Sauer

RN, APRN

Hanna Sauer, RN, APRN received both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Nursing in 2008 and 2015, respectively, from the University of Nevada, Reno. Hanna worked in primary care from 2015 until 2017, at which time she decided to follow her interest in women’s health care and joined our team at My Women's Center. She is passionate about educating women on healthy living, assisting in their preventative health care, and discussing both surgical and non-surgical options for complicated gynecological needs. Hanna is married and has two young boys. Her time away from work is devoted to having a healthy and happy family. She enjoys hiking with her husband, volunteering on her boys’ sports teams, skiing with the family, and spending long days in Tahoe during the summer months.
